London is the Indian restaurant capital of the world. Over the last twenty years, the profession of Indian cuisine has developed dramatically. Unfortunately, though, it seems that many new restaurants have lost the plot. They boast costly fixtures and fittings but very expensive and mediocre food - a distinct expression of style over substance. In 1994 the Bengal Clipper opened with the aim of combining style and modernity, but it was always going to be the cuisine first and foremost with which we wanted to make our mark. At its best, Indian cooking is an art and many believe the Bengal Clipper to be one of its leading exponents. Critical acclaim, awards and a loyal clientele seem to justify the effort we have put into making the Bengal Clipper a unique and enjoyable dining experience. With the world's greatest cuisine, the opportunities to improve are endless. Over the last ten years, our skills have grown and the Bengal Clipper has become even better. Over the coming years, our aim is to be better still. |
